Show Samples!

In my last post, I mentioned how I was working on an animated show. Well since this is my first time animating this way, it’s taking longer then planned haha However, I think it’s time I show some samples of the art that will be in the first episode. =)

This is my character, Desdamona Taylor!

 

This is Dess in her “vlogging” mode for thisfirst episode. She’s sitting on her bed with her camera facing her. Right now I just have mouth movements that I will sync up with sound later. What’s important to remember when animating people is that most of what people say isn’t from their mouth at all but from non verbal communication: eye movements, gestures, face expressions, ect.  So I’ll add in some variation after I got the mouth sync down! haha

 

 

 

 

This is chibi Dess. You know how some vloggers on the internet have “skits” to get their point across? Well This is how Dess will be presented in her skits and also act as “flash backs” when Dess tells a story. Right here we her with a broken arm? But why? I hope you stick around for the first episode to find out!

 

 

 

 

 This is just a concept drawing I did for when I started drawing Dess. You see here that she’s listening to music so you can infer that she loves music. Who doesn’t?! But Dess has a special connection with not only music, but sound in general. You see the colors around the top of the image? You’ll find out what it all means in a later episode of Dess’s vlog! I love this image and I think I’m going to incorporate it into the first episode some how. =)

 

 

 

 

 

I hope I sparked some interest for my show! I’m going to do my best in telling a good story about her and maybe later after I get her introduced and everything, I’ll take some ideas from watchers/readers.
